Innovative
DVD packaging. The Total Recall: Special Limited
Edition and Basic Instinct: Special Limited Edition we
mentioned above for release on September 18 are both from Artisan
Entertainment. For these releases, Artisan is using some really
innovative and unique packaging designs. We've never seen anything
quite like it. These cases are "out of this world" and
will definitely "stick out" on DVD rental shelves and retail
space.

Panasonic
DVD-RV31 DVD player review. On the hardware front, we
recently posted our review
of Panasonic new DVD-RV31 DVD player. As this year's new
entry-level model for Panasonic, this $200 (retail) single-disc DVD player
can playback CD-Rs and CD-RWs, and can decode MP3s. We were
expressed with its combination of features, performance, and value, so we
are recommending the
DVD-RV31 as an "excellent value" in the entry-level DVD player
category. So, if you're in the market for a new DVD player, be sure
to check out our full
review.
Have a good week, everyone.
