Summary: Tom Cruise stars as David Aames, a
handsome and wealthy publishing mogul who inherited his
father's empire. He does a fine job of running his company with 51%
control, but he is always paranoid of the seven board members who his
father appointed to control the remaining 49%. David seems to have
everything: money, power, and a casual relationship that he feels at ease
with. That is until one day when he meets a woman who captivates his
heart (Penélope Cruz). But one bad decision sends his life out of
control. Will David be able to deal with the consequences?
Will he regain what he has had before? Tom Cruise gives a
spectacular performance, arguably one of the best roles of his career.
This movie touches on power, greed, friendship, loyalty, love, fear,
consequences, and dreams. What more could you ask? Fans of
hard-hitting drama and thrillers should not miss this one! It's a
brilliant film by director-writer Cameron Crowe.
