Summary: Dennis Quaid stars as Jim Morris, an inspiring baseball pitcher who has worked all his life to make it to the major leagues.  Every since he was a young boy, all Jim wanted to do was play baseball and make it into the major leagues.  With his military-career father moving the family some 14 times times before Jim turned 10, it was difficult for young Jim Morris to finish a little league season.  When the family finally settled in a small west Texas town of Big Lake, football was the big sport.  Baseball was just a springtime distraction.  As Jim graduated from high school, he struggled and tried to get into the professional leagues, and he briefly succeeded as a young man until his shoulder injuries forced him to "retire" early.  Years later, after taking on a real job as a high school science teacher and coaching a high school varsity baseball team, Jim Morris takes up pitching again in the most unlikely of circumstances.

This is an unforgettable and heartwarming story of one man's dream that inspires everyone that he touches.  What's totally amazing is that this movie is based on the real-life story of a very true-to-life Jim Morris!  It's a very inspirational movie for the entire family to enjoy together that teaches real honest-to-goodness values of having dreams and setting goals.  Even casual sports fan will find this movie quite enjoyable.  I did.

Special Features: deleted scenes with mandatory director's commentary, "Spring Training" featurette, (a fast-paced "instructional" featurette on intermediate baseball skills)
