Summary: Jet Li stars as Jet (what an
original name!), a former Kung Fu student who comes to America to help
protect his Master's herbal medicine business, after a few difficult
run-ins with the local gang. Mysteriously, his Master disappears and
refuses the help. It's up to Jet to figure out how to get his Master
back into the groove and bring justice to the neighborhood again.
The Master is one of Jet Li's older movies,
before he became really famous with American movie audiences. It is
a Hong Kong film that is very much made under Hong Kong/Chinese
direction. The sense of humor is undeniably Chinese. The plot
is paper thin. And the martial arts action is rather
"weak" compared to many of other Jet Li's films. There's
really nothing outstanding about this film. Only devoted Jet Li fans
will probably want to rent this one. Most casual fans should save
their money on something more worthwhile, like The
One.
Special Features: There is not really much
here, just sneak peeks (theatrical trailers) of The Legend 2, Twin
Warriors, The Enforcer, The Defender, Fist of Legend,
and Iron Monkey

Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 soundtracks, then both are listed. All
DVD-Video discs are backwards compatible with stereo-only playback
systems.
