Summary: Kate Hudson stars as Andie Anderson, a journalist for
Composure Magazine, a fictional women's magazine based in New York City. While she's known as the "How To"
girl, writing about various "how to" topics like "How to Dress Like A Model
for Less Than $50" , she's aspiring to
write about important issues, like politics, the environment, and foreign
affairs. Looking for her next
assignment, her boss gives her an assignment to write about men and women and relationships.
Andie has to write about how you can date a guy and then dump him in (you
guessed it) ten days.
Matthew McConoughey is Benjamin
Barry, a successful advertising executive with
a can do attitude. He is trying to head a new diamond account, but
his boss wants to give it to his colleagues. Desperate to take the
lead, he makes a wager with his colleagues that he can make any available
straight woman fall in love with him in ten days. Who does his
colleagues pick? You guessed it again, Andie.
Andie and Ben make moves
on each other. While they are both attracted to the other, they each
have their own professional agendas. This situation plus the great
chemistry between Kate Hudson and Matthew McConoughey makes for a
hilarious romantic comedy. If you're looking for a delightful and
light-hearted evening, try How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days.
