Summary: The successful team of Ashley Judd
and Morgan Freeman returns in another thriller. This time, Ashley
Judd plays a very successful lawyer, Claire Kubik, who is married to a
handsome Tom Kubik, played by Jim Caviezel. This very successful and
very happy couple is trying to start a family, even with their busy
careers. Then suddenly Tom is arrested by military police and
accused of a crime that he says he did not commit while serving as a team
leader in the Marine Corps. Shocked by the charges brought against
her husband and with the discovery that he was in the Marine Corps
performing covert operations years ago, Claire does not know who to
believe. As she gets over her disbelief, she hires a retired
military lawyer, played by no other than Morgan Freeman, to help her
defend her husband. Together, they would uncover what seems to be
government cover-up of an operation gone wrong in Central America.
High Crimes is a successful thriller that
will keep you on your toes until the very end, with its smart plot
sprinkled with surprise twists throughout. Morgan Freeman gives a
stellar performance, as did Ashley Judd. Boy, Ashley looks so sharp
in this movie! If you're into suspense/thriller, do not miss this
movie. It would be one of the High Crimes!
