Summary: I just don't get it.  It's probably just me, but I just don't get it.  I thought The Good Girl was about redemption of ordinary woman (Jennifer Aniston) whose life was stuck in first gear.  When she makes a mistake of falling for an insecure young man (Jake Gyllenhaal) to spice up her life, her life begins to unravel.  And then at key moments of opportunistic redemption, she repeatedly makes the wrong decisions and gets herself and those around her into deeper trouble.  For me, it was a disturbing movie.  Though some would call it a comedy, I didn't find much humor in this movie.  If you have a reasonably meaningful and content life (which I hope you do), then I certainly would not recommend this movie.  For those less fortunate, I can see how this movie would be mildly entertaining.  I guess I just don't get it which made a 94 minutes movie seems torturing.

On the bright side, the acting performances were solid.  Though it was difficult for me to be sympathetic with these characters, in all fairness I thought the cast did an exceptional job in portraying these characters.

Special Features: audio commentary by director Miguel Arteta and writer/actor Mike White; scene-specific commentary by Jennifer Aniston, 9 deleted scenes with optional commentary; alternate ending montage; gag reel
