Summary: From Hell is an adaptation
of the notorious serial killings of Jack the Ripper that plague London in
the late 19th Century. Johnny Depp stars as Inspector Abberline,
a police investor who has a knack for solving the most complex
crimes. A series of gruesome, hellish murders has a working-class suburb of
England up in arms. Will Inspector Abberline solve the crime before everyone goes
hysterical? Or is Jack too smart to outwit? Since the movie portrays the heinous crimes of Jack
the Ripper, you can bet that some scenes are pretty gruesome.
Ugh! Those with skittish minds may want to pass on this one, but if
you can brave it out, there's a powerful plot behind this thriller.
The bonus segment of "Jack the Ripper: 6 Degrees of Separation" is a
thorough discussion of facts from the investigations on the killings in
1888. Those into murder mysteries and thrillers who can bear the
gruesome thematic material may find this movie quite gripping.
