Summary: "Rugrats in Paris: The Movie" is a family adventure about the Rugrats family, the Pickles, in Paris when Stu is summoned to fix the reptar robot. The whole family will enjoy this wacky comedy about the Rugrats tearing down the theme park and Paris. (Luckily, it's just an animated film.)

The Story
The adorable Rugrats are enjoying themselves at a wedding celebration until Chuckie misses his mother. He wishes for a new mother and he and his friends are searching for a wife for his father, Chas Finster (voice talent of Michael Bell). Meanwhile, at Euroreptarland in Paris, the reptor robot that Stu Pickles designed is defective. Madame Coco La Bouche (voice talent of Susan Sarandon) demands that Stu immediately flies to Paris to tend to her reptar robot. Kira Wantanabe (voice talent of Julie Kato), assistant to Coco, calls the disoriented Stu in the middle of the night to come to Paris.
The Pickles and their friends pack up and get ready for a great adventure in Paris thinking that they are going to enjoy this trip due to his great successful invention. Upon arriving at Euroreptar, Stu is preoccupied with fixing the robot while the children venture to discover the excitement of the theme park and end in the destruction of the park and Paris. Surprisingly, this movie has adventure, drama, action, and comedy for young and old alike. There are a number of parodies, from the famous scenes of "The Godfather" and "Lady and the Tramp".
The "Rugrats in Paris: The Movie" DVD comes with the following extra material: informative and exciting "Rugrats in Paris" docummentary, hilarious sound effects showcase entitled "Chuckie Chan", two alternate endings of Coco La Bouche, great upbeat music video by Baha Men entitled "Who Let The Dogs Out?", a theatrical trailer, and two theatrical promotional spots. There are also two interactive DVD-ROM games: "Chuckie Chan" and "Mom-o-Matic".
Video & Audio
The image quality of this anamorphic widescreen DVD is very good. The colors are accurate and saturated, while shadow detail is well rendered. The Dolby Digital 5.1-channel surround sound is well balanced and effective, while the dialogue is crystal clear.
