Summary: Growing up in Brussels Nazi-occupied Europe, Audrey Hepburn (Jennifer
Love Hewitt) tries hard to deal with her estranged father's departure.  Despite
the painful memories of her father's indifferent attitude, Audrey struggles,
triumphs and wins adoration from everyone she meets.  It's amazing that a life
story could be told so vividly and smoothly.  The bonus materials are quite sparse.
We wished for real-life footage of Audrey Hepburn and Jennifer Love Hewitt's
music solos.  Nonetheless, this title is a must-have for fans of Hewitt, Hepburn and
   heart-warming stories.

The Story

Screen star Audrey Hepburn has always fascinated us with her grace and charm on screen and off.  The movie starts with Audrey (Jennifer Love Hewitt) during an on-set "Breakfast at Tiffany" filming.  Throughout her life, Audrey continues to be reminded of her turbulent and painful past.  Growing up in Brussels Europe, she tries hard to deal with her estranged father moving away to support the Nazi propaganda.  Her single Baroness mother loves her adoringly and sends her to a boarding school in England.  She feels very lonely and desperately needs her father's love.  Despite the painful memories of her father's indifferent attitude, Audrey gracefully struggles to gain fame, success, and love of all who knows her.  Hewitt's tender and heart-warming performance is a loving tribute to the late Audrey Hepburn.

The Extras

The bonus features include three original theatrical trailers and a talent file on Jennifer Love Hewitt.  It would be a plus if the bonus materials included real-life footage of Audrey Hepburn and Hewitt's music solos.

Video & Audio

The image quality of this DVD is general good, though it occasionally lacks detail.  The colors are consistently accurate and vibrant.  The cinemaphotography is a treat since the movie contains many exotic locations and Hewitt's wardrobe is brilliantly captured.  The surround sound is good and brings realism to the war scenes.

Recommendation

"The Audrey Hepburn Story" is a well made biographical movie.  Hewitt brings a great deal of charm and tenderness in her great performance as the beloved screen star.  Though the bonus materials were limited in quantity, we think many will enjoy this heart-warming story.
