Sony DVP-S7700 reference DVD player

This is Sony's flagship "reference standard" DVD player.  Critics have hailed it as the reference standard for all DVD players.  It features Sony's Dual Discrete optical pickup (consisting of two lasers, one optimized for DVD playback and one for CDs), and DSP Servo control system (tracks DVDs and CDs better and shortens track/chapter access time).  Sony's SmoothScan search and SmoothSlow slow-motion modes still set the standard for the industry.  The riveting picture is matched by audiophile-quality sound, whether you have a DVD or a music CD in the tray. This model has much of the same CD circuitry found in Sony's high-end ES CD players.

Key Features: Dual Discrete laser pickup, aluminum front panel, copper-plated chassis, SmoothScan search, SmoothSlow forward/reverse, Digital Video Noise Reduction, variable-coefficient digital filter, headphone jack with volume control, Sony Control S jack, remote with jog/shuttle dial, fluorescent buttons and multi-brand TV/receiver control, 10-bit video D/A converter, 96kHz/24-bit audio D/A converter.
