| Panasonic
DVD-RV30 DVD/VideoCD/CD Player Available in black or silver Retail Price: $250 (list price $300) |
|||||
| This is Panasonic's
new entry-level DVD player and it's loaded with features. In terms
of picture quality, its scan search and slow-motion effects rivals that of
more expensive models. Its Digital Cinema Mode provides brightness
control, picture noise cancellation, luminance and color adjustments
that makes the picture more cinema-like on a direct-view TV. This
model includes component
video outputs for superior picture detail and color accuracy. On
the audio side, it features Panasonic's Advanced Virtual
Surround Sound which simulates a surround sound environment with just 2
speakers. If you have a powered subwoofer but no Dolby Digital
receiver, you can use its "2ch + Bass" feature to output low
frequency effects to your subwoofer. In surround sound
systems, the Dialogue Enhancer feature raises the center channel volume to
make the dialogue easier to hear.
Key Features: 5-speed Smooth Motion Scan & Slow, Cinema
Mode, Advanced Virtual Surround Sound, Dialog Enhancer, "2ch +
Bass", 10-bit video D/A converter, 96kHz/24-bit audio D/A converter. |

| Panasonic
DVD-CV40 5-Disc DVD/VideoCD/CD Changer Front-loading design Retail Price: $300 (list price $350) |
|||||
| This

easier, and Advanced Virtual
Surround Sound. The Disc Exchange feature allows four discs to be

changer counterpart (Panasonic
DVD-CV50), this model does not
have a built-in Dolby Digital decoder, component video outputs, and
glow-in-the dark remote control buttons. Read our full review of the similar Panasonic DVD-CV50.
